Plans & usage
A plan gives your workspace a monthly allowance at a fixed price. Without a plan you're pay-as-you-go. Either way, usage draws from clear pools so there are no surprises.
What a plan includes
A subscription plan has a monthly price and a monthly allowance in two pools:
- Voice minutes — a telephony minute pool.
- Usage credit — a dollar credit shared across model, speech, and tool usage.
As your agents work, usage counts against these pools. The Billing area shows each pool's used / included / remaining for the current cycle.
Overage vs hard caps
What happens when a pool runs out depends on the plan:
- Overage allowed — usage beyond the allowance is billed at standard rates from your account balance.
- Hard cap — service pauses at the allowance instead of charging overage (useful for a free or fixed-cost plan).
Pay-as-you-go
With no paid plan, your workspace is pay-as-you-go: there's no monthly allowance, and usage is billed from your account balance. Add a plan whenever you want included volume at a predictable price.
Changing your plan
Manage your subscription from Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately (you're charged the difference); downgrades apply at your next renewal; and you can cancel to revert to pay-as-you-go at the end of the current period. Charges settle from your balance, so keep it topped up to avoid a past-due pause.
